A Great Day!

We went back to a church for a second time. This time we attended a couples (I don't think that we qualify as the young adults anymore) class for Sunday school and it was exactly what we'd been missing. A small group of peers that we could get to know better. It's a much smaller church than we've attended in the past but I think that we're realizing that that's a good thing. Everyone greeted us warmly. Clinton says that it's because we stick out so much! he he. And the weird thing is is that it's the church of the schol we've had a child attending for the past 2 1/2 years! Right under our noses! So, we're hoping that this turns out to be "the place" for us. :)

I've spent the past 2 days redoing my resume and doing a personal data sheet with all job/education history on it. I can't believe how much time it took to get it all together and I already had a pretty good resume to begin with! And I don't know how in the world I'm supposed to remember some of this stuff - supervisors from 14 years ago, military phone #'s, where in the world my military supervisors are now... well, I did the best that I could do with the internet and what I had.

Also, it's time for a haircut again. I have the knack to try something new again. I didn't really care for my last haircut. (A chin length bob). I like when it's able to have a flip to it but I don't know. I feel like I keep going back to that haircut. I'm thinking that I might be a little more daring. I've had very short hair in the past and it's much easier to maintain (except for the more frequent hairdresser visits). DH prefers my hair longer though. I've had this photo on my computer for a while. Do I dare?

Here I am now:

On Thurs. one of my classmates gave me one of the greatest compliments. She said that I'm a cute person and dress nicely (or something like that). And she said that she would have never guessed that I had had 2 kids. Now, I've always wanted to be the girl who looked cute and stylish even when she's wearing athletic clothes and a hat. I actually was wearing athletic clothes that day. Not the norm for me but all of my jeans were dirty. :) Why this was such a compliment was because I consider her the cute, petite, stylish one. Anyway, that made me feel good because I do try to put effort into my appearance and want to look nice. For the record though, she's more petite than I am. :)

  • I think you're very cute. I love your hair how it is...or I would do it a little longer. I love the color.

  • I know that my DH likes it longer too. I just want something easy. :) I've actually had in long and straight most of my life and I look so YOUNG. I know that that's not a bad thing!

I start growing it out and then I get tired of it and then I chop if off and then I want it long's a cycle!!

I should post a picture of when it was really long. I love how you post older pictures.

  • I think you could pull off that haircut no problem - your face shape is similar and it is a darling cut!

BUT, shorter is not always easier - I did the short thing for years - lots of style time - and now I have mine shoulder length - it gives me the option to clip it up and go!

You have great hair - so you really do have it "lucky" enjoy it!

And hey - it will grow back ;)

I still think about cutting mine ALL THE TIME!
